We have been in meat processing for five generations, and recipes and know-how passed from father to son guarantee that we know what we are doing. Today we produce under two brands in two plants, and you will find our products in restaurants, shops and abroad.
Our history
From a family butcher's shop to a modern food group.
We are a Czech family food group. We started as a butcher's shop, and the craft has been passed from father to son for five generations.
Today we produce in two plants. Kuřim focuses on food service, retail and export, Tišnov on recipes and craft. Together they form the technological and logistics base behind the STEINEX and STEINHAUSER FAMILY brands.
You will find our products in restaurants, retail chains and export markets across Europe, as well as in our own network of company stores. Quality is safeguarded by international certification, regular audits and the supervision of the State Veterinary Administration.
1994
Founding of Jaromír Steinhauser, s.r.o.
2004
Complete reconstruction of the production facilities in Brno in connection with the Czech Republic joining the EU.
2011
Construction of a distribution and logistics centre in Veverská Bítýška.
2012
Consolidation of the butcher's shops under Moravské maso and change of legal form to STEINEX a.s.
2017
Opening of the new meat plant in Kuřim. Production and warehousing brought under one roof.
2023
Installation of a solar power plant for the Kuřim production site.
2024
Family agreement dividing smoked meat production between STEINEX a.s. and Steinhauser Group s.r.o., with slaughtering and meat production at Steinhauser s.r.o.
2025
Merger of STEINEX a.s. and Steinhauser Group s.r.o. and their integration into the STEINEX Holding group.

Both brands are made at our plants in Kuřim and Tišnov, which together form the production base of the STEINEX holding group.
